At the very top is the option here for reading passages, or if you'd like lengthier lessons or units you can choose this, but today I'm choosing reading passages. Give me this option and I want to get a reading passage.
Useful search tool for skill or strategy
Here is my search bar, I can search by grade level, or if I know a specific Lexile level that I want to target I can choose here. The topic is your content area, text type will allow you to choose between literary informational and poetry. This is also a useful search tool for skill or strategy. If there is definitely a skill or strategy that you're targeting you can find an article that is appropriate.
To find the article that I sent you, and informational, then hit apply, the first option that came up was a bat mystery, it's a science informational article. When I click on it it will bring me to a preview, many of the articles have pre-made questions that you may or may not use, on the right here you can choose to print or download, it will tell you the Lexile and the domain. At the top here that's also useful, it will give you some key vocabulary words and then also tell you the standards that it can be applied to.
One last function that I want to show you and highlight is this save to my binder function, you can save this article if you find it very useful and find it more easily later by hitting save to my binder.
